After application of a rough-trimming, a “Fond de Stuc” coating of 1/16 to 1/8 inch or 2 to 3 mm , was applied, tinted in the bulk. The “Fond de Stuc” was smoothed and then burnished. Lastly, after complete drying, it was waxed.
